As this home is still new to holiday rental sites, you have a rare opportunity to be among the very first families to enjoy this wonderful house. Stays are available from Sunday (3 pm) to Sunday (10 am), with longer stays also welcome.
The house is semi-detached yet completely private. The only people you might see are my partner and me. We are nearby should you have any questions, but otherwise we fully respect your space. If you prefer to have the property entirely to yourselves, you are very welcome to request this in advance and we will do our best to ensure full privacy. Please rest assured that even then, we will not be nearby unless you specifically need us. The pool is exclusively for your use.
The town of Santa Catarina is just a seven-minute drive away and offers two mini-markets, a bakery much loved by local expats, and several local restaurants. The beautiful towns of Olhão and Tavira are both around 20 minutes away, where you can also catch ferries to their stunning nearby islands. There are many beaches to choose from, all within a 20–40 minute drive. The historic city of Faro is also well worth a visit, offering boat trips to see dolphins, kayaking experiences, and other activities throughout the area.

Cova do Coração, "Cave of the Heart" is a Farmhouse situated in a little hamlet on the beautiful hills in the County of Tavira, Algarve.
The house is only 40 mins drive from Faro Airport and it has been lovingly restored with rural elegance and attention to beauty.
"Cova" as we like calling it, has four bedrooms. All of which can be made into twin rooms, or remain as large double beds so the house can sleep up to 8 plus a cot. Two bedrooms are ensuite and the other two share a bathroom. The house has a beautiful and fully equipped kitchen, a cosy sitting room furnished mostly with antique furniture, tables around the house for you to enjoy making art, having tea or table games. It also has an external kitchen with a BBQ for your enjoyment.
If you would like to hire it for a small yoga retreat, we also have a wonderful yoga platform (and great quality equipment) on the hills. Separate costs apply.
Seated on 8 acres of land, there are plentiful walking paths either on the hills or along the riverbank. The house has lovely landscaped areas, a wonderful outdoor shower and a delicious 6 x 4 Mts swimming pool. One area is shallow enough for children to play, and the other end is 2.10 Metres deep.

The kitchen, bathrooms, and the rest of the home were well-equipped with everything we needed to feel right at home. Everything was spotless, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The pool and outdoor area are gorgeous, and the view of the mountains is simply breathtaking. Although Giselle wasn’t there during our stay, she was always reachable and made sure we arrived safely and had everything we needed. Her neighbor welcomed us and was also very kind.
